Celebrating Our Faculty
The PTA Faculty Recognition Committee is excited to
announce that May is Office Staff Appreciation month and Principal's Day. We are so fortunate to have these women help our children on a daily basis with
forgotten lunches, late check-ins and early check-outs and countless day-to-day issues that might be overlooked if not for
their caring and helpful ways. Please take a moment to say “thanks” by having your child draw a picture, write
them a note, take them a goodie or just tell them how much they mean to you. Our committee will be honoring them as well with
special activities throughout the month of May!
Last Chance Yearbook Sale
Tuesday, May 26
The Ferguson PTA will be selling a limited number
of surplus 2008-09 yearbooks for $15 per copy on Tuesday, May 26 from 7:45 - 8:10 am in the front entry of the school.
Yearbooks can be purchased on a first come, first served basis. No yearbooks will be held.
Please make
checks payable to Ferguson PTA.

Join
your friends for one last fun event before summer! Tickets on sale at Ferguson May 26-28 from 7:45-8:15 am in the school
foyer. Tickets are $3 each if purchased at school and $4 each at the door.
Note that an
adult chaperone must accompany all children to the dance and everyone must have a ticket to enter. And remember this
is a dance - do not bring your skates.

“Got
Your Back” is a service project to collect backpacks for the homeless served by Crossroads Ministries in Houston. If you have a backpack you aren’t using, please put it in the “Got
Your Back” collection box by the office. They are also collecting other bags (tote bags, purses, etc.) and toiletries.
The Art School for Children
at UH Clear Lake
Summer classes for children ages 3 ½ through
high school. Classes start June 8 through July 2 and will meet twice a week for one to two hours. Our theme this
summer for elementary age children is “Art to See, Art to Know” focusing on art that can be seen at the Museum
of Fine Arts Houston. Students will work in clay, tempera paint, oil pastels, plastic crayons and pencils. To
